Using META Tags To Redirect to another Page

Meta tags can be used to redirect people to new locations or to create an inital spash page. You can create your redirect page by doing the following.

1. Add the code below to the web page the redirect page:



<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" Content="3; URL=/ftpweb/cz5brr/pub/series/index.htm">



2. Change the url location after the 'URL=' to the new page location.
   
   
3. Add a text link along with some sort of notification of the change. This will insure that people with older browsers can still get to your page.
   Example: redirectexample.htm
   
   
4. Save the page in the old location under the old page name.

If you followed the steps properly you should now have an usable redirect.
