News Scroller

The NewsScroller applet showcases text-wrapping and reads its data from a file which is located on the Web server. You can even use a background image in the applet! All the source is included, so you can get in there and hack to your heart's content. This is an excellent applet with which to learn Java, and gets much of its functions from a base class, WebBase. Author Ed Graham has also made a couple other applets which use this base class, and they are available on his Web site.

How To Use: Download NewsScroller.zip (26KB) and unzip within your HTML directory. Place news.txt in the same directory.
